Turkish Delight
Turkish Delight showcases artworks produced during Denise Keele-bedford’s artist residency in Turkiye.
Denise was the recipient of a one-month Artist-In-Residence (AIR) across June and July in 2023.
She is the first Australian artist to be awarded a residency at La Maison de Barbara in the town of Ayvalik, sited on the north-western Aegean coast.
The series includes Monprints using local flora, hand-made stencils and found carved wood blocks.o
Two works presented to the residency are directly related to the site, Agia Barbara and Le Mal de Vivre.
